Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Ingredients:

For the Cookies:

2/3 cup crisco butter flavor sticks

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg

1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

4 teaspoons milk

2 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Frosting:

3 cups confectioners sugar

1/2 cup butter softened

1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

2 tablespoons milk

Directions:

For Cookies: Cream together the Crisco, sugar, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir in the milk. Add the dry ingredients, mix well and chill for 1 hour.

On a well floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on an ungreased cookie sheet or a pachment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool on a cooling rack. Makes 2 dozen cookies.

For Frosting: Cream together the ingredients. If frosting is too thick add a bit more milk. If frosting is too thin add more confectioners sugar. Frosting should spread easily.
