This is another of Aunt Deana’s amazing contributions to our family celebrations. It is a birthday party favorite with everyone.
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
Ingredients:
2-cups of all purpose flour
1- teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg (room temperature)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 -cups chocolate chip mix (in a large container store a mixture of dark, semi sweet, milk chocolate, chunk chocolate chips)
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl and set aside.
Mix the butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg and the vanilla.
Slowly mix in the flour mixture.
Mix in the chocolate chips on low.
Bake in a skillet for 30-40 minutes until set and light brown on top.
Cool and serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
