Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons of chili powder (optional substitute 1 tablespoon with chipotle chilis in adobo sauce for a smoky flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups of vegetable broth

Directions:

Heat the oil on medium heat in a saucepan. Whisk in the flour and seasonings. Pour in the vegetable broth and whisk until smooth, about 10 min. Store in a mason jar.
