Chocolate Layer Cake

This is a family favorite at all of our gatherings. We have always loved it when we visited Auntie Ialeen, and we are grateful to her for passing this simple and delicious recipe along.

Ingredients:

1 boxed chocolate cake mix

1 large box of instant chocolate pudding

1 – 8 oz. bag of Heath English Toffee bits

1 large container of Cool Whip

Directions:

Prepare and cook the chocolate cake according the the package directions. Allow cake to cool completely and cut into small 1 inch cubes. Prepare the chocolate instant pudding according to the package directions. Stir in 1 cup of the Heath Toffee bits. To assembly the dessert in a large glass bowl, place 1/2 of the cake cubes in the bottom. Top with 1/2 of the pudding mixture. The third layer will be half of the container of Cool Whip. Repeat the layers 1 more time for a total of 6 layers. Sprinkle some of the remaining Health bits on top. Keep refrigerated until you are ready to serve.
