Chili

Perfect for those cool fall days or for snow days!

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 pounds 90% ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped green and red pepper

3 cloves of garlic minced

4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1- 2.5 ox container of chili powder

2 teaspoons ground cumin

2 teaspoons oregano

1 can of dark red kidney beans drained and rinsed

1 can cannelloni beans drained and rinsed

2-12 ounce bottles chili sauce

1 and 1/2 cups beef stock

Optional toppings: shredded cheddar, chives, sour cream, crushed Frito chips

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large stockpot. Cook ground beef, stirring and breaking up with a wooden spoon. Drain off grease. Reduce heat to medium. Add onion, peppers and garlic cook for 3-5 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce.

Add spices and cook an additional 5 minutes.

Add beans, chili sauce and beef stock. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add toppings and serve with cornbread.
